United Community Solutions, under the leadership of Ms. Kimberly Johnson, announces the launch of the Asuaba Water Project, a vital initiative designed to provide clean and reliable water to Asuaba Presbyterian Junior High School (Asuaba Presby JHS) in the Upper West Akim District of the Eastern Region, Ghana.
The project aims to address the severe water scarcity faced by the school and its surrounding community, particularly during the dry season when local rivers and streams dry up, leaving residents with contaminated and unsafe water sources.
By constructing a mechanized borehole and installing two 6,000 liter overhead storage tanks, the project will provide a consistent supply of clean water to the school, improving hygiene and health standards for students and staff.
The project’s objectives are twofold:
- To ensure a continuous and safe water supply to Asuaba Presby JHS.
- To enhance the health and hygiene practices of the school community by ensuring regular access to clean water.
- The project will benefit not only the school but also the wider Asuaba community. It is expected to have a long-term positive impact on water access, sanitation, and overall well-being.
The implementation will unfold in three phases:
- Phase 1 (Weeks 1-2): Site assessment, securing permits, and community engagement.
- Phase 2 (Weeks 3-8): Drilling the borehole, installing the storage tanks, and setting up the distribution system.
- Phase 3 (Weeks 4-6): Staff training on system maintenance and ongoing monitoring to ensure effective operation.
This project is an essential step in improving the quality of life for both students and residents in Asuaba. United Community Solutions is committed to ensuring its successful completion and sustainability, with long-term benefits for the community.
