Trevor Noah returns as Grammys’ 5th consecutive host
South African comedian Trevor Noah has been announced by the Recording Academy as the return host of the 2025 Grammy Awards. The 67th Grammy Awards will air live on CBS and Paramount+ on Sunday, Feb. 2, 2025, from 8-11:30 p.m. ET/5-8:30 p.m. from the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
This marks Noah’s fifth consecutive year hosting “Music’s Biggest Night,” a streak that began with the 2021 Grammys. The comedian was a Grammy nominee in the category of best comedy album and also a Golden Globe nominee in the category of best performance.
He holds two Emmy Awards, winning his first in 2017 for an Outstanding Short Form Comedy or Drama Series. His second Emmy Award was for the outstanding talk series category for his talk show The Daily Show in 2024 making history as the first African and first black person to win an Emmy for that category since its introduction in 2015.
The annual Grammy Awards Premiere Ceremony will once again be presented by City National Bank, the Official Bank of the Grammy Awards, for the third year in a row.
This year’s GRAMMY will feature a new purpose, which will honour the bravery and dedication of first responders who put their lives in danger to defend others during the recent Los Angeles wildfire. The night will also raise money to support relief efforts for the wildfire.
The Recording Academy and MusiCares have committed more than $3.2 million in emergency aid to help music professionals impacted by the fires since starting the ‘Los Angeles Fire Relief Effort to Support Music Professionals’ last week.
The Recording Academy’s membership of music professionals continues to be the sole peer-recognized award in the music industry. The variety and inventiveness of the international music community are shown by the wide range of genres represented among its annual nominees.
Some of the biggest stars in music are expected to give incredible performances at this year’s event, including:
- Benson Boone
- Billie Eilish
- Chappell Roan
- Charli xcx
- Doechii
