Samjane Productions, a Ghanaian-owned film production company based in the United States, has announced the world premiere of its debut movie, ‘Sukura – The Homecoming,’ an adventure thriller that explores the journey of self-discovery and ancestral roots.

Set to premiere at the Lincoln Theatre, Columbus, Ohio in the U.S., it promises an unforgettable cinematic experience. The movie scripted a 400-year history of the trans-Atlantic slave trade before merging its storyline into thepresent.

The main character, Alex Pokerman, a young African-American living in the U.S., embarks on a daring quest to trace his roots to Africa. His journey takes him to the Ashanti kingdom in Ghana. He arrived in Sukura, an ancient sea-side village, where his ancestors were sold into slavery.
