State55 to hold ‘Afrika Declaration Indaba’ conference in Zambia

State55, a people’s movement in Africa, with diaspora chapters across the globe has announced its Afrika Declaration Indaba (ADI) conference 2024 scheduled for December in Lusaka, Zambia. The event is a call on the international community especially those of African descent to drive positive change across Africa.

The ADI aims to bring together pan-African pundits, civil society organizations, universities, think-tanks, law entities, philanthropists, business actors, political and religious leaders, and individuals from diverse backgrounds to tackle the continent’s pressing challenges.

These challenges include economic inequality, racial and religious intolerance, migration problems, brain drain, social injustice, insecurity, and climate change. State55 believes that the power of numbers can drive solutions to these issues, ensuring a humane place for all Africans.

“We foster unity among the people of Africa and those of African descent in order to secure a humane place for all. Without a stable, strong and prosperous Africa which is at peace with herself and free from corruption and underhand methods, the African people’s hope for dignity due regard in the global community is undermined,” said State55 in a statement.

The ADI conference will employ a collaborative, back-to-front model, strategized around Thematic Work Groups (TWGs). Preparatory activities will begin immediately, using online meeting applications and country-specific preparations leading up to the summit.

State55’s movement focuses on rallying the African continent towards the creation of one United African State of 55 countries. “A strong, conscious, self-sufficient and democratic Africa where it’s citizens are politically, economically and socially stable, proud and free and not subject to political persecution, religious, tribal and racial discrimination at home and abroad,” emphasised State55.

“For this reason, you are invited to register for participation in the actual organisation of the conference. Come, let us build a new Africa of our dreams!”

To take part in the preparatory activities of the conference, request a form through the organisation’s email at state55afrika@gmail.com
