New app ‘Thrive’ may be just what new immigrants need
‘Thrive,’ a new mobile application created to resolve relocation issues faced by new Ghanaian immigrants in the United States, has been officially launched. Its major goal from its name, ‘Thrive,’ is to transform the experiences of new immigrants and make it easier for them to thrive, flourish, or grow in their new locations.
The app was unveiled by Mona Lisa “ML” Brookshire née Blay-Miezah, CEO of Clubhouse Ghana and ML4Lyfe Group. According to her, the software will provide support to Ghanaian immigrants on obtaining legal aid, as well as advice on housing and welfare benefits.
“Our mission is to bridge these gaps through a comprehensive platform that connects immigrants to the tools and networks they need to build stable and prosperous lives,” she said.
ML Blay-Miezah pointed out at the app’s launch that immigrants frequently had an extensive list of concerns, ranging from locating affordable accommodation and secure jobs to coping with social isolation and mental health issues.
She indicated that the platform stood out because it provided an integrated solution that addressed the immediate, short-term, and long-term issues faced by immigrants, in contrast to regular services that might only target individual needs.
“We believe in empowering immigrants not just to survive but to truly thrive. With resources tailored to their journeys, immigrants can build financial independence and achieve meaningful social integration,” she said.
According to ML Blay-Miezah, it is anticipated that the application’s focus on community development, useful advice, and long-term financial empowerment would have a long-lasting effect on how immigrants adjust and prosper in their new surroundings.
“As Thrive becomes available for download, it sets a new benchmark for comprehensive, culturally sensitive Ghanaian immigrant support in the United States. By bringing together essential resources and fostering a sense of belonging, THRIVE empowers immigrants to chart a path toward stability and opportunity,” she noted.
She mentioned that the app will support community ties to fight isolation and connect immigrants with counselling services to support their mental and emotional health. Thrive will also offer workshops on entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and business planning to help Ghanaian immigrants build long-term achievements.
