Nigeria: Milecent Foundation Launch 10-month Campaign against Teenage Pregnancy
Nigerian based NGO, Milecent Foundation has launched a 10-month campaign against teenage pregnancy from February through November 2022.
The campaign is tagged “The Story of Sex & You,” focused on teenagers in the West African Nation.
The foundation since it’s establishment has led a front fight in the campaign against an “underrated epidemic, which is teenage pregnancy,” in the words of the NGO founder, Okolo Ikechukwu Innocent, a medical practitioner.
The campaign will cover over 20 schools, with “hopes that it make impact over 10,000 teenagers this year,” says Ikechukwu.
The NGO, Milecent Foundation enfolded its humanitarian services around improving the overall well-being of individuals and communities especially in the areas of sex, health and lifestyle.
Established in 2018, the foundation has organised donations for individuals and communities, conducted free medical outreaches, and campaigned for sex education in schools, communities, radios and talk shows.
When asked about his motivation for the foundation in an exclusive interview with TheAfricanDream.net last month, Ikechukwu said,
“A better Africa and my love for humanity is my inspiration. I am creating solutions to problems around my community, giving my own quota to make Africa a better continent.”
Keep this dream alive in your own way, contact Milecent Foundation on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter to donate or sponsor.
