Ghanaian Owned Airline Goldstar Air, Prof Bluffs Company Donates Assorted Items To Accra Psychiatric Hospital
Ghanaian owned airline Goldstar Air in conjunction with Prof Bluffs Limited, a US logistics company based in Rhode Island and Ghana on Thursday 27th May 2021 presented assorted items to the Accra Psychiatric Hospital.
The items which consists of new mattresses, bathing soaps, sachets water, assorted drinks, mineral water and personal protective equipments is to enhance their fight against the ravaging menace of the Coronavirus and also to help promote their activities, operations and running of the Psychiatric Hospital.
The items were presented on behalf of both companies by the Executive Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of Goldstar Air Mr. Eric Bannerman and Chief Executive Officer of Prof Bluffs Company limited Mr. Kwaku Afful and were received by the Deputy Director of Nursing Services, Madam Agnes Agudu, the Deputy Nursing Officer, Mary Amoo and Senior Nursing Officer, Robert Gyedu Amakye, which forms part of the corporate social responsibilities of the two companies.
The donation is to assist the management of the hospital to cater for the patients. Madam Agnes Agudu elated and extended heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Goldstar Air and Prof Bluffs Company Limited for their kind gesture reflecting their good heartedness on behalf of the management of the Accra Psychiatric Hospital and on behalf of the patients of whom they thought of, to bring them these wonderful gifts. She also said, when you were presenting the items, you said it was a little, but I want you let you know, it’s a lot because some of these things, you will have buy on credit and the hospital will pay as and when money is available from government. COVID-19 has hit us all so hard, especially with the psychiatric patients who don’t know the importance of social distancing and avoidance of personal contact. We go about getting it here and there. This is kindly and we are so grateful. All these that you’ve brought to us, we really need them. We pray that you will mobilize yourself and come and bring us bigger things. manager of the airline Mr. John Ashong Mettle promised the management of the hospital of more assistance periodically.
As a Ghanaian registered Company, Goldstar Air plans to utilize the country’s status as the “Gateway to West Africa” to develop the West Africa market by introducing scheduled flights from all the ECOWAS (Economic Community of West African States) countries through Accra (Hub) to the rest of the world.
The airline will institute the characteristics of low-cost carrier packages and tours operations methodology, which has to date been successful with many airlines and plans to inject a rapid growth to the West African tourism market, which is currently under-serviced.
Goldstar Air will be naming the aircrafts after prominent citizens and all the presidents of Ghana, beginning of the Fourth Republic. Having their names printed on the aircrafts will open up the frontiers of the country’s tourism sector, making Ghana the investment destination in Africa. The names and pictures of our prominent citizens and the presidents of the Forth Republic embossed on the aircrafts ties in with the coremorals of the company. The airline believes that a nation that honours its living heroes and heroines is worth dying for. Therefore, the company considers it fit to honour our prominent citizens and the presidents.
