Ghanaian striker Majeed Waris receives honorary degree from UK university
Ghanaian striker Majeed Waris was named as the recipient of an honorary degree from Hartpury College in the United Kingdom.
The degree was conferred on Waris on Thursday because of his exploits in football.
Waris, who currently plies his trade in France for Strasbourg is a former student of the university.
“I am honoured to receive the sports honorary degree Award in Hartpury college (UK) yesterday.”
Want to say a big thanks to Right to Dream and Hartpury College college for their continuous support and also to my family, friends and teammates,” Waris wrote on Twitter.
Waris has made a slow start to the season, failing to score in nine appearances.
