Aliko Dangote’s Younger Brother Buried in Kano
In Kano state, Nigeria, Sani Dangote, the brother of Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, was laid to rest.
His remains arrived in Kano state this morning from the United States, where it was met by his family and friends. Before his remains was eventually interred according to Islamic customs, a funeral prayer was held at the Emir of Kano’s palace.
Thousands of Muslims gathered in Kano on Wednesday November 17th, 2021 for the funeral of late Alhaji Sani Dangote, the Deputy President of the Dangote Group of Companies.

Imam Sani Muhammad led the funeral prayer, which took place around 11 a.m. at the palace of the Emir of Kano. The Imam prayed to Almighty Allah, asking that the deceased’s sins be forgiven and that he be granted paradise.
Dignitaries and country’s top personalities have taken to their twitter platforms to express condolences for the sudden loss of the business mogul.
Senate President Ahmad Lawal, Aviation Minister Hadi Sirika, Presidential Spokesman Garba Shehu, Governor Abdullahi Ganduje, and Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado-Bayero all attended the burial prayer.
Babagana Zulum, the governor of Borno, Sen. Bukola Saraki, Yusuf Magaji-Bichi, the Director General of the Department of State Services, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Alhaji Abdussamad Isyaka-Rabiu, and leaders of industry from within and outside the country were among the others.
