Africa Cashless Payment Conference & Awards is November in Ghana

In the past few years, sub-Saharan Africa has experienced unprecedented growth in cashless financial services that has defied all expectations. Ghana has recently become the fastest-growing mobile money market in Africa with registered accounts increasing almost six-fold in recent years.

Ghana’s experience provides a fresh perspective on its digital transformation and demonstrates that technology not only helps modernize the financial system but also supports greater financial inclusion.

Sponsors, exhibitors, and delegates from across the cashless payment spectrum will come together with senior executives and management of corporate entities and institutions from within the fintech industry. Some of these institutions will include mobile banking and payment systems, application developers, banking, and financial services. The rest are financial trading, investors, entrepreneurs, insurance companies, cryptocurrency dealers, and more.

The conference will be the most substantial fintech gathering in the region in the industry’s recent history. All eyes are on Africa as it currently enjoys some of the fastest-growing post-covid economies in the world. Reports indicate that the contribution of the financial-technology industry to sub-Saharan Africa’s economic output will increase by at least $40 billion to $150 billion by 2022.

With the theme “Building a Cashless Africa”, the conference is expected to be opened by Ghana’s Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia with eminent speakers to include Dr. Ernest Addison, Governor of the Bank of Ghana.

There will be a presidential round table and awards ceremony on Monday, November 29, 2021, which will be the penultimate day of the event. Leading professionals and organizations in the fintech sector as well as political leaders and industry experts within the cashless system will be honored with a FIN award in an exclusive ceremony organized in the compelling and competitive setting of the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel, in Ghana’s capital city of Accra.
