The Ghana Diaspora Political Action Committee (GhPAC) has officially endorsed Aisha Braveboy ahead of the upcoming election for the role of an Executive in Prince George’s County, located in the American state of Maryland bordering the eastern portion of Washington, D.C.
As a steadfast advocate for justice, economic empowerment, and community development, Braveboy has consistently demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the well-being of African and Ghanaian families in Prince George’s County.
Throughout her tenure as State’s Attorney, Aisha Braveboy has prioritized public safety, criminal justice reform, and economic opportunity while fostering strong partnerships with diverse communities.
Under her leadership, Ghanaian and African families in Prince George’s County have benefited from initiatives aimed at small business growth, youth development, and immigrant protections, ensuring that all residents, regardless of background, have access to resources that help them thrive.
“Prince George’s County is home to one of the largest Ghanaian communities in the United States, and Aisha Braveboy has been a true champion for our people,” said Adjoa Kyerematen of GhPAC.
“She understands our challenges, celebrates our contributions, and actively works to ensure that African and Ghanaian families have a seat at the table when it comes to policies that impact our livelihoods.”
GhPAC USA is the political arm of Ghana Diaspora Public Affairs Collective established to increase the number of Ghanaian Americans elected to political office, support candidates that champion issues that positively impact the Ghanaian American community, and promote Ghanaian American participation in the political process.
Ghana Diaspora Public Affairs Collective is a nonpartisan, nonprofit social welfare advocacy collective dedicated to empowering Ghanaians in the Diaspora through civic and political action. They’re are committed to working collectively as Ghanaians, people of Ghanaian descent and friends of Ghana to encourage civic engagement and advance policies through research, education, and community building.
GhPAC’s endorsement reflects Braveboy’s strong record of engagement with the Ghanaian diaspora, from supporting culturally competent public safety initiatives to advocating for economic policies that uplift immigrant entrepreneurs and professionals. Her leadership has been instrumental in fostering a more inclusive county where African communities are recognized and supported.
