Five African heads of state and 12 ministers are among the over 1,000 people expected at the upcoming fourth Global Business Forum on Africa in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) state of Dubai.
The UAE event is scheduled to begin on November 1, 2017, ending the following day in Dubai.
The two-day forum, which is being held under the theme of ‘Next Generation Africa‘, will examine the continent’s current economic outlook and potential opportunities for development, investment, and partnerships with UAE businesses.
Among the attendees will be Rwandan President Paul Kagame, Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni, Zambian President Edgar Lungu, Seychellois President Danny Faure and Ameenah Gurib-Fakim, President of the Republic of Mauritius.
“With the Global Business Forum series, Dubai has managed to offer a truly global platform, allowing top officials, decision makers and investors to explore the prospects of economic partnership and cooperation among international markets,” said Hamad Buamim, president and CEO of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
“The Global Business Forum on Africa, which is set for an unprecedented top-tier attendance, including distinguished African heads of state and ministers, is testament to Dubai’s firm position on the global economic map,” he added.
The Global Business Forum series was first launched in 2012 and focus on Africa, Latin America, and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
