Attending the conference will offer the opportunity to work on common solutions and address the international need to increase resources for cyber capacity building, which is a key enabler for sustainable development, economic growth, and social progress.
The GC3B will promote participation from low- and middle-income countries and serve as a platform for them to shape sustainable, inclusive, and human-centric cyber capacity building initiatives and to incorporate cyber resilience in the broader development agenda in-line with their perspectives, needs, and capabilities.
The 2-day program will be based on 4 pillars, 35 sessions, and about 100 speakers. The first pillar is titled ‘Making international development cyber resilient,’ the second is ‘Collaborating to secure the digital ecosystem,’ the third is ‘Cyber capacity building for stability and security,’ and the fourth is ‘Operationalizing solutions.’
As the highlight of the #GC3B23, participants will also witness the announcement of the Accra Call. The Accra Call is a concrete global action framework that will be announced at the GC3B, reflecting the 4 pillars of the GC3B program. It will stimulate global action to build global cyber capacities within development plans, supporting the sustainable development goals.
“To ensure a free, open, and secure digital world, every country should have the resources, knowledge, and skills they need to invest in their digital future. Nations should work together and support each other with these capabilities, so that no country is left behind in their digital evolution. After all, a chain is only as strong as the weakest link,” said GC3B.
